Did Romeo Abdo inspire emergence of Lebanese restaurants in Minsk?

Among the diversity of Minsk restaurants and cafes visitors can choose something for the good of their soul. In the first place, foreign tourists are interested in the national cuisine as well as in straw souvenirs and flax dolls. It is an exotic variety as Russian dolls or Ukrainian fat. However, one should not think that potato is the only thing the capital of Belarus can surprise with (or feed). At heavy eaters’ service, there are almost all cuisines of the world from Italian to Chinese.

By the way, Italian restaurants are very popular and numerous of course if we number among them such places called pizzeria. However, there are quite a lot of real Italian restaurants. There are much fewer representatives of other European cuisines like French, German or Spanish. Nevertheless, true lover have nothing to complain about. At least so –called all-European dishes are on the menu of the majority of restaurants. Even Japanese, Chinese or Korean cuisines are no longer exotic in Minsk. Take sushi, for example. This is the dish that every respectable restaurant considers necessary to put on the menu. Oriental cuisine does not rank second in this list. This vast concept includes Georgian, Azerbaijani, Armenian and Lebanese cuisines.
 
By the way, in fact Lebanese cuisine can be referred to as exotic one. Thus, there are quite a lot of Azerbaijani coffee bars, but there are just two Lebanese restaurants. There is some talk, that Lebanese businessman Abdo Romeo Abdo inspired their emergence. No one knows if it is true or false, but these restaurants are popular with residents of Minsk as well as guests of the city. Some if them can be deemed as an alternative to ubiquitous MacDonald’s, as the service there is very fast and the food is much more diverse, tastier and of a better quality.
 
Well, exotic African cuisine might be the only that is not represented in Minsk at all. I mean real equatorial Africa where they eat everything that creeps, sprouts or falls down from above at worst. It cannot be far off. If only, there were lovers of it.
